The Aboriginal Courtwork Program addresses the unique challenges faced by Aboriginal people dealing with the justice system. Friendship Centres are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of elected members. The Program is designed to help Aboriginal people who are in conflict with the criminal justice system obtain fair, just, equitable, and culturally sensitive treatment. Our ethics application package is based on the USAI Research Framework.
